Meet Ziggy, one of our permanent fosters
Ziggy is a big very loving boy, he is a deaf dog, stuck in a world of silence. He has striking eyes of different colours but his eyesight is fine. Ziggy loves to play with other dogs but he doesn't like cats. He is a big strong dog, weighing 33kg, he would need a home with a decent amount of secure outside space for him to play and explore. For these reasons we feel he would be best suited to a home without "young" children or cats. He would be best suited to a campo home as he doesn't cope well in busy environments.
He loves human company and would be a very loving loyal companion.
Ziggy is progressing well with understanding sign language but as he is deaf it's finding a way to get his attention in the first place without startling him.
His adopter would need to have patience and understanding of the needs of a deaf dog and be willing to work with Ziggy to enabe him to lprogress to his full potential and have the loving home he so deserves.
